Low Carbon
Our Digital Commitment
What does our Low Carbon approach involve?
Each season, we fine-tune our lines, adjust our turns, and seek balance. So why shouldn’t our website follow the same principles?

The web is responsible for nearly 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Its environmental impact may be invisible, but it’s very real, and growing fast. To help reduce this footprint, we’ve completely redesigned our site with a Low-Carbon approach.

The result: a simpler interface, lighter content, and optimised access to information, for faster browsing and a reduced carbon footprint.
Fewer images, more open space
Visuals are streamlined and optimised to reduce page weight.
Goal: less data loaded, fewer emissions.
Choosing a darker theme
The option to switch to dark mode to reduce energy consumption.
Goal: limit our digital footprint.
Quick access to essentials
A redesigned site to find every
information at a glance!
Goal: fewer clicks, fewer resources used.

Anti-Waste Operation: The “Dernier Planté de Bâton”
In June 2025, the esf Saint François Longchamp instructors took part in the “Dernier Planté de Bâton,” a major national clean-up of slopes and trails.

Launched in 1996, this initiative (coordinated by the SNMSF and the Mountain Riders association) aims to restore the sites at the end of the season.
A concrete commitment, part of a collective approach to environmental responsibility.
